Effective strategies for managing social investments" (March, 18th &19th, Moscow) concerned such questions as corporate citizenship, charities, social projects management, Russian and western experience. More than 140 representatives of transnational corporations, all-Russia and regional enterprises took part in the conference. |
|
Most of reports were devoted to the involvement of businesses in social policy and to common problems in corporate social programs fulfillment.
Round tables, which became a part of the program divided in spheres of economic interests (industry, finances & consulting) to analyze different types of social problems resolution. Second day round tables discussed legislation, social responsibility ratings, social accounting, public relations and charity projects and also how major activity of a company is influenced by social projects.
A particular event in the program became podium discussion moderated by Vladimir Solovjev (NTV), devoted to contradictory question: "Who must be responsible for social problems resolution?"
Comments:
Dmitry Parfenov, President of Complex-oil:
"It is not the first conference in Russia, devoted to questions of corporate social responsibility, but probably the first, that united such representative participators. Very important thing is that Russian business starts to recognize its responsibility in face of the society. And not only the biggest companies pay attention to this, but also medium enterprises.
I'm glad charities in Russia are close to transform in systematic activity and to turn to real social investments, headed to long-term common work in social sphere. This is definitely a positive tendency that is to change a lot in Russian economy in the near future".
